In an effort to strengthen global collaboration and advocacy across regions, the Global Ignatian Advocacy Network (GIAN) is proud to launch its new official website: giansj.org. This launch marks the strategic integration of Ecojesuit.com (Integral Ecology) and JusticeinMining.org (Justice in Mining), which will no longer publish independently.

On July 10, the Secretariat for Social Justice and Ecology (SJES) will launch the publication cycle of issue 139 of Promotio Iustitiae, titled: “Socio-Environmental Justice and Artificial Intelligence – Ethical and Political Challenges from the Perspective of Christian Faith and Ignatian Spirituality.”

The Social Justice and Ecology Secretariat is pleased to make available the printed edition of Promotio Iustitiae No. 138. This issue is dedicated to reflections on faith, justice, and the global mission of the Society of Jesus in the context of the fiftieth anniversary of the 32nd General Congregation (GC32), exploring its legacy, challenges, and future horizons.

“There is no institution, even the most powerful in the world… [that] can [work for change] alone.” With this reflection, Fr. Roberto Jaramillo, SJ, Secretary of the Social Justice and Ecology Secretariat (SJES), highlighted the urgency of building networks of global solidarity during his recent visit to Canada.

From May 11 to 14, the meeting of the Secretaries for Social Justice and Ecology of the Conferences of Major Superiors and the coordinators of the GIAN initiatives was held.

The Social Justice and Ecology Secretariat (SJES) of the Society of Jesus has released its 2025 Annual Report, “The Promotion of Justice is Fueled by Hope”. The report details regional milestones at the conference level, the results of global advocacy, and its commitment to the mission of promoting justice and reconciliation under the guidance of the Universal Apostolic Preferences.
