Philippines – Indigenous Youth Join the Global Movement to March for Climate
On March 15, over a hundred learners from the Apu Palamguwan Cultural Education Centre (APC), a Jesuit institute that seeks to provide an integrated and holistic education for the indigenous children and youth along the Pantaron Range in upland Mindanao, Philippines, joined the global school strike for climate action. They were inspired by 16-year-old climate activist Greta Thunberg’s global movement. The General Assembly is the highest governing body of the Federation of Fe y Alegria Movement. It comprises 22 member countries, the General Coordination, and the Presidents of the Conferences of Jesuit Provincials of Latin America, the Caribbean, Africa, and Europe. To enrich the Movement's sustainability, the General Assembly provided input and recommendations to the executive team.

On 18 October 2023, Fe y Alegría in Ecuador held the opening event to mark 60 years of service to education. More than 700 people from different parts of the country gathered to commemorate the important date.
