Latin America- Spiritual Exercises in Fe y Alegría Paraguay

Since August 2022, collaborators of the Association Fe y Alegría Paraguay have been participating in Ignatian Spirituality formation workshops. The main themes are the biography of Ignatius of Loyola, the phases of prayer, the [Ignatian] election, personal and communal discernment, and distinguishing disordered affections for conversion and spiritual growth.

The training on the Spiritual Exercises concluded last July this year in "Santos Mártires," a house of spirituality, in Limpio in the Central Department of Paraguay. The experience lasted five days, of which they devoted a day to evaluate the apostolic task of the institution [Fe y Alegría Paraguay]; that day concluded with a Eucharistic celebration, the beginning of their Spiritual Exercises. It was time for prayer, reflection and discernment; participants personally encountered the Lord and themselves. Also, during the Spiritual Exercises, they reaffirmed their willingness and commitment to the mission of Fe y Alegría in Paraguay.

At the end of the Spiritual Exercises, participants expressed gratitude for the opportunity for spiritual growth, which helped them put their lives in order and regain the strength to continue their work.
