Global – Education from “knowing how to understand and knowing how to do”

Intending to strengthen the processes of quality and educational innovation in a coordinated and networked way and to deepen educational innovation from the principles of popular education as a proposal that works for social transformation, the Educational Quality Initiative developed the "Course on Quality and Educational Innovation".

This training developed six modules that included practical actions. It had 303 participants from five countries (Argentina, Paraguay, Dominican Republic, Ecuador and Peru) in attendance through synchronous and asynchronous modes. In some countries, training was through in-person sessions in the educational centres, which chose to promote innovation encounters.

In an effort to systematise these experiences of educational innovation, on 10 November, some of the practices built and strengthened within the framework of the course were presented.

These experiences respond to the objectives set out in the course. The course defined that the practice of educational improvement and innovation must have an impact on the daily life of the centres and countries to strengthen networking and foster collaboration and the shared construction of knowledge through learning communities, enabling levels of appropriation of popular education and innovation.

It is important to highlight that the experiences presented are genuinely applied in educational environments through pedagogical and research tools that generate knowledge and improvements. All this favours the movement's sustainability from the local to the global levels.
