Global – Building a future full of hope, Father General’s message for the World Day of Social Justice.
In 2007, the United Nations proclaimed 20 February World Day of Social Justice. For several decades now, social justice has been an integral part of our mission in today's world. That's why Father Arturo Sosa has chosen to celebrate this day with a video message about our world's march towards the essential conditions of social justice.
While he acknowledges that "we live in an increasingly unjust world", he also asks what "we have done to this world and to the victims of these situations of injustice". Conversion is his first invitation to us: "What can we do to bring Christ down from the cross?". Faced with the shadows of this situation, rather than plunging into anxiety and sadness, he concludes with a call to action: "Unite to build a world full of hope".
