I am privileged to have participated in the AJAN HIV and AIDS Prevention Programme for the Youth (AHAPPY), facilitated by a competent and professional team from the African Jesuits AIDS Network (AJAN). The programme hosted by the Arrupe Jesuit University Community was one of a kind.

After the severe earthquake on the night of Feb. 5-6 that struck Syria and Türkiye, the situation remains dramatic. The Cathedral in Iskenderun has collapsed. Bishop Paolo Bizzeti SJ, Bishop of Anatolia in Eastern Türkiye, was out of the country at the time but is organising help. Antuan Ilgit SJ is on the spot and is organizing relief for his parishioners.
