The crisis of credibility that the Chilean church is experiencing and that has also hit the Society of Jesus hard, as a result of the sexual abuse committed by priests, has pushed us to review and reflect on the causes of the loss of credibility and trust in the institution. It has been a painful learning opportunity to discover how much damage and suffering some of our people may have caused by abusing innocent and defenceless people, as well as our negligence in several cases to act properly. The General Assembly is the highest governing body of the Federation of Fe y Alegria Movement. It comprises 22 member countries, the General Coordination, and the Presidents of the Conferences of Jesuit Provincials of Latin America, the Caribbean, Africa, and Europe. To enrich the Movement's sustainability, the General Assembly provided input and recommendations to the executive team.
