Africa – From “potentiality” to “reality” for the nutritional future in the DRC

“We support young people in finding innovative solutions to nutrition issues”. This is how Jean Mboma, Jesuit and Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural and Veterinary Sciences (FSAV) in the Democratic Republic of Congo, describes an important aspect of the objectives of this higher education institution. The faculty was recognized in 2016 by the Congolese government as part of a Jesuit-led university project, the Loyola University of Congo. In addition to the FSAV, it integrates existing university centres, in particular, the Faculty of Philosophy Saint Pierre Canisius, as also institutions offering degrees in social sciences, management and business administration sciences.Read more…
