It was a full week of rich sharing and learning for the Safety in Ministry. The participants, mostly safeguarding delegates, shared their experience in safeguarding work in their Jesuit provinces and regions.

Last January the 5th 2023, Dr. Sandra Racionero-Plaza joined the Promoting a Consistent Culture of Protection Project (PCCP) of the global Society of Jesus.She joins as assistant to John Guiney SJ, project coordinator.

Since last January the 27th, the Promotion of a Consistent Culture of Protection Project (PCCP) team, John Guiney SJ (project coordinator) and Dr. Sandra Racionero-Plaza (assistant project coordinator), are in Chiang Mai (Thailand) for the Major Superiors’ Assembly of the Jesuit Conference of Asia Pacific (JCAP).

The NT Government's introduction of legislation to raise the age of criminal responsibility from 10 to 12 years is a step in the right direction and will help to keep more vulnerable children connected with family, culture and the community, says Jesuit Social Services.

Through 11 petitions, collected in the manifesto 'Sanas y Salvas', girls from Guatemala, South Sudan, Spain, El Salvador, Peru, Honduras, Kenya, Nicaragua and Chad are mobilising to defend the effective protection of their rights.
