Asia Pacific – Myanmar Mission launches updated safeguarding policy
The Mission’s original policy, For the Greater Good, in place since 2013, has been completely revised with the help of the templates for child safeguarding developed by the Xavier Network for Mission and Development. Given its extensive engagement with college level students, and growing commitment to the Spiritual Exercises, Myanmar Mission has added provisions for the protection of vulnerable adults. This is because, for example, students can be seen as lacking power and thus vulnerable in their relationship with teachers. In addition, the Mission already subscribes to the protocol developed by the Catholic Religious of Myanmar (CRCM) on the Protection of Children and Vulnerable Adults. Read more…

The General Assembly is the highest governing body of the Federation of Fe y Alegria Movement. It comprises 22 member countries, the General Coordination, and the Presidents of the Conferences of Jesuit Provincials of Latin America, the Caribbean, Africa, and Europe. To enrich the Movement's sustainability, the General Assembly provided input and recommendations to the executive team.

On 18 October 2023, Fe y Alegría in Ecuador held the opening event to mark 60 years of service to education. More than 700 people from different parts of the country gathered to commemorate the important date.
