In line with the second Universal Apostolic Preference–walking with the excluded, the poor, the outcasts, those whose dignity has been violated, in a mission of reconciliation and justice–Sanata Dharma University (SDU), the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities in Asia Pacific (AJCU-AP), and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) recently hosted a webinar on Detention in Asia and the Pacific. The General Assembly is the highest governing body of the Federation of Fe y Alegria Movement. It comprises 22 member countries, the General Coordination, and the Presidents of the Conferences of Jesuit Provincials of Latin America, the Caribbean, Africa, and Europe. To enrich the Movement's sustainability, the General Assembly provided input and recommendations to the executive team.

On 18 October 2023, Fe y Alegría in Ecuador held the opening event to mark 60 years of service to education. More than 700 people from different parts of the country gathered to commemorate the important date.
