Asia Pacific – A new JCAP network for protecting minors and vulnerable adults
Safety in Ministry is the newest apostolic network of the Jesuit Conference of Asia Pacific (JCAP). Conference President Fr Tony Moreno SJ announced the creation of the network with the appointment of Fr James Wenceslao Gascon SJ as Coordinator. “While the JCAP units have different policies and programmes to ensure the protection of minors and vulnerable adults, there is a need to collaborate as one body and coordinate our efforts to promote a culture of safeguarding and integrity in ministry in our conference,” said Fr Moreno. The General Assembly is the highest governing body of the Federation of Fe y Alegria Movement. It comprises 22 member countries, the General Coordination, and the Presidents of the Conferences of Jesuit Provincials of Latin America, the Caribbean, Africa, and Europe. To enrich the Movement's sustainability, the General Assembly provided input and recommendations to the executive team.
