USA Midwest Province Social Commission considers the Social Justice Apostolate
Joined by USA Midwest Provincial Fr. Brian Paulson, SJ, and Jesuit Conference of Canada and the U.S. Secretary for Justice and Ecology Ted Penton, SJ, the USA Midwest Province Social Commission met in Chicago April 2-3, 2019, to reflect on past, present, and most importantly the future of the Jesuit social justice apostolate on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Social Justice and Ecology Secretariat (SJES). The meeting assessed the graces and challenges of our past work and more importantly discerned current signs of the times and opportunities to advance the new Universal Apostolic Preferences of the Society.Read more…

The General Assembly is the highest governing body of the Federation of Fe y Alegria Movement. It comprises 22 member countries, the General Coordination, and the Presidents of the Conferences of Jesuit Provincials of Latin America, the Caribbean, Africa, and Europe. To enrich the Movement's sustainability, the General Assembly provided input and recommendations to the executive team.

On 18 October 2023, Fe y Alegría in Ecuador held the opening event to mark 60 years of service to education. More than 700 people from different parts of the country gathered to commemorate the important date.
