Latin America – CPAL’s Message on Venezuelan Crisis

Between March 4 and 6, summoned by CPAL, 51 persons, including 19 Jesuits, came together in Lima to reflect on political alternatives to the Venezuelan crisis. They say, “The pain and growing misery of the Venezuelan people, inside and outside their country, saddens us and challenges us… The current situation of misery and breakdown of democracy is ethically intolerable and politically unsustainable. The millions of migrants present in almost all the countries of Latin America (13% of the Venezuelan population) open a window through which the daily passion - almost unbearable - of most of their people is revealed daily…” Read more…
