Yiutsari Migrant Workers Center, run by the Jesuits of the Korean Province, marks its 20th anniversary on 13 April 2025. JCAP's Migrants and Refugees Network (MRN) recently met in Seoul and spent a day visiting the center, where they interacted with migrant workers and their families during the celebration of Sunday Mass and bonded over a specially prepared meal. They also visited the shelter, where male migrant workers live as they get back on their feet. Keeping in mind the theme of hospitality and reconciliation, the members of MRN continue to work towards building a future with migrants and refugees.

The 2025 Annual Report of the Astalli Center was presented: a tool to understand through data and statistics which are the main nationalities of the more than 24 thousand refugees and assisted asylum seekers, of which 11 thousand in Rome, who have turned during the year to the Jesuit Service for Refugees in Italy, such as the difficulties they encounter in the path for the recognition of protection and for access to reception or inclusion paths....

Eco-delegates from across the Jesuit Conference of European Provincials gathered in Nuremberg for their second in-person meeting. The three-day event was marked by reflection, collaboration, and renewed commitment to ecological conversion.

The conference’s Migrants and Refugees Network (MRN) is made up of a diverse group of individuals, originating from various countries, with different backgrounds and working in various contexts, yet coming together in solidarity and commitment towards “promoting a culture of hospitality and reconciliation” in Asia Pacific. Priests, lawyers, social workers, volunteers—whether from Catholic orders, civil society, NGOs, or faith-based organisations—this dynamic network works together to answer the call to build a better future with migrants and refugees.

From February 25 to 28, 2025, Fr. Ismael Matambura SJ conducted several supervision visits to the field activities of the African Jesuit AIDS Network (AJAN), including the “Building Resilience in Women and Young Girls in Africa (BRWGA)”project. This initiative, supported by the Canadian Jesuits International, deserves my sincere gratitude. The project is implemented at St. Ignatius Center by the Christian Life Community (CLC) of St. Ignatius in Kinshasa, within St. Kizito Parish in Kingabwa, located in the western part of Kinshasa, the capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo. This support has enabled AJAN to fulfill one of its core missions:“Investing in young women to uplift and build families, the foundation of human society.”
