This merged session focuses on the topic Local and Indigenous Knowledge to Actionwith Pedro Walpole, Ecojesuit Global Coordinator, and Commissioner Roberto Eugenio Cadiz of the Philippine Commission on Human Rights (CHR) as key speakers.

Lately, forest fires in the Pan-Amazonian region reached extremely serious dimensions. The events elicited reactions from many different countries all over the world, and governments expressed their concern and demanded the local governments in the region to take action.

In the present issue of Promotio Iustitiaeon Indigenous Rights and Integral Ecology, keeping the Synod on Amazon at the background, Jesuits from 5 Conferences, accompanying the indigenous people over many years have reflected on the Indigenous Rights and Integral Ecology from the perspectives of justice and reconciliation.
