Monday, December 3, 1984, is still a disastrous day in India. The gas leak from Bhopal, the world's worst industrial disaster, killed some 20,000 poor people, most of whom lived in slums. Half a million of those who survived suffered and continue to suffer respiratory problems, eye irritation or blindness and other disorders derived from exposure to toxic gas. In the midst of legal battles in India and the United States and protests by victims and environmental activists, "justice" remains an elusive mirage and a distant dream for millions of people...
