Global – Our Common Home: A Guide to Caring for Our Planet
On 14 February 2023, the Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI) and the Dicastery for the Service of Integral Human Development (DSSUI) will present 'Our Common Home: A Guide to Caring for Our Planet', an illustrated booklet that connects climate change, biodiversity and the sustainable use of resources with the messages of Laudato si', Pope Francis' Encyclical on caring for our common home.
The event, which will take place online from 15.00 CET, the booklet and related website, available in English, French, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish, will be presented.
The guide embraces scientific knowledge on the most pressing environmental issues and explains how people and communities can take action to build a more sustainable and socially just future.
Speakers during the debate will include:
- H.E. Card. Michael Czerny SJ, Prefect of the Dicastery for the Service of Integral Human Development
- Andrés Jato, Ambassador of Sweden to the Holy See
- Måns Nilsson, SEI Executive Director
- John Mundell, Director of the Laudato si' Platform of Initiatives
- Molly Burd, Digital Coordinator at SEI and project leader of the booklet
