Towards WYD, the Fourth International Conference on the Care of Creation in Lisbon

Since last February, the MAGIS Foundation has participated in the preparation of the event organized by the John Paul II Foundation for Youth on the occasion of the XXXVIII World Youth Day which will be held in Lisbon in August: the fourth international conference on the care of creation. The theme of this edition is: “Young people's commitment to integral ecology. Lifestyles for a new humanity. The appointment is precisely in Lisbon, at the Universidade Católica Portuguesa, next July 31st. Young university delegates from Bishops' Conferences, international movements and associations, and Catholic universities will participate, who will already be in Lisbon to participate in WYD. Two guys who will be part of the MAGIS delegation that will take part in the event: Marco Bongiovanni and Abdullah Haidari.

The conference is organized in a way of meeting young people and experts who will offer their reflections on five areas of human life: economy - education and family life - natural resources - politics - technology. The novelty of this meeting is that some of its spaces will be "inhabited" by virtual experiences, through the use of the immersive technology of the metaverse, thus being able to make participation in the meeting more inclusive and accessible.

As in previous editions, the work of the conference will conclude with the drafting of a Manifesto.
