Latin America – Meeting of the Social Centres Network successfully completed

From Monday 18th till Thursday 21st of June, Loyola House in Padre Hurtado (Chile) housed almost 60 jesuits and lay persons belonging to different networks: CPAL’s Social Centres, delegates of Social Apostolate from the provinces, as well as national and regional coordinators of the Jesuit Migration Network. During the first two days of the meeting, each one of these organizations met apart to discuss both the Latin American context in which the social sector of each country has to deploy its activity and the migration flows in the continent, especially with regard to the reality of the Venezuelan people; there was also some pondering over which adjustments need to be made to the “mode of proceeding” and structure of the centres network.
