Five students from “Massimo Institute” in Rome made a video last summer, on climate change and, in the meantime, learned the dynamics of the world of work at the head office of Magis, an NGO of the Jesuit Italian Province where the Jesuit school students have chosen to spend the summer period. “It was a great experience,” says Cristina Orfano, who followed the initiative on behalf of Magis. “An NGO is an organization that combines strong ideals with a structure not dissimilar to that of a company. Young people can therefore meet a double dimension that gives them the opportunity to know the issues of development cooperation but, at the same time, helps them to think in terms of efficiency and effectiveness that are essential values also in the field of solidarity.” Click here to watch the video.
