Global – Pope Francis meets Popular Movements in Rome

The III World Meeting of Popular Movements with Pope Francis took place in Vatican City, on November 5 2016. The meeting brought together delegates of organizations from around 65 countries around the world, who represent people on the margins of society, including the poor, the unemployed and those who have lost their agricultural land. Pope Francis urged members of the popular movements to lobby their governments to be more welcoming of migrants and to improve programs to ensure their integration into their host societies.
