A course on designing websites for social centres has taught Jesuits and their lay collaborators the importance of making their services known to others. The course, organized by JESA (Jesuits in Social Action) took place from 15 to 21 March in Kolkata and was attended by 21 Jesuits and laypeople from 10 Jesuit provinces in India. The Jesuits are involved in grassroots developmental works through some 120 social centres in India. However, currently less than 10 of the centres are able to communicate what they do through websites.
