At this 5th WSF a new labour concept and practice have been spread abroad among sectors interested in labour issues. The workers from the chemical and petro-chemical sector belonging to the Confederación Unitaria de los Trabajadores de Brasil (CUT) [United Confederation of Brazilian Workers] have succeeded in incorporating a French innovation into the trade union circles of Latin America. This innovation intends to put a stop to the humiliations suffered by many workers who are forced to undertake heavy tasks in the course of which they have to face shameful treatment, most especially sexual harassment.
